Job Description

  1. Reports to the Commercial Credit Zone Head
  2. Assist CCZ in supervision and credit management of CBCs portfolio with special attention to follow up on delinquency Customer to prevent account falling into impaired status
  3. Review of portfolio and work closely with CCZ to formulate remedials for weaker credit not limited to exit plan to safeguard Bank’s interest. 
  4. Collaborate with CBCs in the submission of R&R proposals. Thereafter to closely monitor the implementation and compliance of the R&R proposals with the CBCs, to prevent the accounts from falling into impaired status.
  5. Assist the CCZ in preparing for the monthly Sub-AQ & AQ meeting which discussed on the asset quality position of the division with specific plans of action
  6. To assist CCZ in preparing monthly Fresh Impairment and Loan Loss Provision Projection, monthly submission of the FRS 139 (IA Provision) for the CCZ sign-off
  7. Follow-up with the CBCs on the recommended course of action for the Early Warning Customers. 
  8. Follow-up with the CBCs on the overdue reviews, unrated and stale rating accounts to ensure timely submission.
  9. Administrative tracking and monitoring of monthly stale / unrated/ Interim Credit Risk rating/ overdue review / bullet & balloon credit / trade risk indicator / escrow accounts monitoring / R&R submission/ Country Risk Rating.
  10. Assist CCZ in reviewing on all operational approvals under CCZ/Head of Business Banking/Co-CEO, Group Commercial & Transaction Banking (i.e adhoc appointment of insurance co/ waiver of perils/ pricing & RAROC approval checking / Letter of support / NDA etc).
  11. Visit CBCs/ customers with AQ issues and to work with CBC to resolve issues concerned for improvement of Asset Quality. 
  12.  Participate in Stress Test & Portfolio Assessment by providing feedback, justification on EW placement and remedial (if warrant) as and when Stress Test is initiated either by Group Risk or EW Team. 
  13. To review and conduct post mortem on accounts turning impaired with specific learning lessons, common errors, major cause of default etc.
  14. To review Trade Finance Alert/ Trade Risk indicator reports to ascertain risks associated and formulate remedials (if warrants) 
  15. To assist and provide guidance to CBCs in terms of policies, compliance to the systems, controls & guidelines of the Bank. In the event of non-compliance to escalate to respective authorities.
  16. Monitoring of Sector Appetite limit (i.e Upon Bank wide utilization threshold hits) 
  17. Assist CCZ on other ad-hoc projects.
