The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Manager, Platform & AI Architecture who will play a key role in defining the platform and AI architecture strategy at Velera.

This role will lead a team of architects responsible for establishing architecture standards, patterns, and guiding the design of automation and AI-enabled solutions across the enterprise.

Day In The Life

  • Partner with Business Process teams and product stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and AI enablement, and define architectural approaches to support them
  • Define and evolve a comprehensive platform and AI architecture strategy aligned with organizational objectives
  • Establish architecture principles, standards, and patterns to guide the design and implementation of automation and AI-enabled solutions
  • Define success metrics and KPIs to measure the adoption, effectiveness, and impact of architecture capabilities
  • Stay abreast of emerging automation and AI technologies, evaluating their applicability within Velera’s architecture landscape
  • Evaluate and recommend platforms, tools, and reference architectures to enable scalable and secure automation capabilities
  • Provide architectural oversight and guidance to delivery teams, ensuring alignment with established standards and enterprise architecture direction
  • Mentor and develop architects, fostering strong architectural thinking, design quality, and consistency across solutions
  • Create and deliver presentations to senior management, client executives, and vendors
  • Assist Technology Delivery leadership in establishing, maintaining, and communicating the division strategic plan
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of architects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and governance processes
  • Coach, mentor, and develop architects, fostering strong design practices, architectural thinking, and consistency across solutions
  • Support talent acquisition and development of architectural capabilities, including participation in hiring, performance feedback, and career growth planning
  • Establish clear expectations for architectural deliverables, quality, and adherence to standards
  • Promote collaboration across architecture, engineering, and business teams to ensure effective solution design and alignment with enterprise strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 7+ years of experience in technology roles, with a strong focus on platform architecture, enterprise architecture, or solution architecture
  • Proven experience defining and implementing architecture strategies, standards, and governance processes within a complex organization
  • Experience enabling automation, AI, or digital capabilities through architecture design and platform strategy (financial services experience preferred)
  • Previous experience leading architecture teams or driving architectural outcomes across cross-functional organizations
  • Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, design patterns, and platform-based solution design
  • Ability to define and communicate architecture strategy, principles, and standards to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience influencing and guiding delivery teams without direct ownership of implementation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and define scalable architectural solutions
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in balancing innovation, risk, and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with agile delivery models and the ability to align architecture practices within iterative development environments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and operate effectively within a regulated environment
  • Ability to be flexible and operate effectively in a complex, rapidly evolving technology landscape

Pay Equity

$117,000.00 - $152,100.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
