Position Summary
The Manager, Pharmacy Administration position is a diverse, cross-functional role that serves to connect the pharmacy’s performance data and systems to actionable intelligence for internal and external purposes. The Manager, Pharmacy Administration will represent the pharmacy in regular meetings with key vendors, use the pharmacy systems to provide analytical reports and data, meet with other team members to roll out new initiatives, track key performance indicators for compliance with accreditation and third-party contracts, and serve as a pharmacy point of contact for information to the accounting department, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary liaison to pharmaceutical manufacturers, leading scheduled meetings, addressing data-related inquiries, and preparing materials for Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Manage accreditation-related activities in coordination with Director, Compliance, including auditing requirements, maintaining performance metrics, and facilitating Quality Improvement Committee meetings.
• Provide business intelligence support to VP, Pharmacy Operations related to staffing, system performance, special projects, and operational decision-making.
• Coordinate and respond to third-party insurance claim audits by preparing documentation, supporting on-site reviews, and submitting required contractual performance reports.
• Maintain and update pharmacy system data, including pricing, inventory, payer plans, and other critical configuration details.
• Develop, analyze, and distribute operational, sales, and production reporting; establish KPIs and dashboards to support performance monitoring and business needs.
• Serve as a backup resource for the Data & Reporting Manager by producing recurring program-related reporting for external partners
• Manage relationships with assigned business partners, oversee contract expectations, and support identification of new business opportunities.
*Collaborate cross-functionally with client services, sales, billing, finance, quality, and training functions to ensure alignment with contractual performance and deliverables.
• Lead the planning and execution of new partner implementations, including project timelines, milestone tracking, coordination across functional teams, and communication to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development, rollout, and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring team understanding and compliance.
• Monitor ongoing program performance to ensure delivery of contracted services; oversee reporting requirements, support case management system usage, and drive process improvements as needed.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned

QualificationsKey Skills
• Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly grasp issues and understand strategy and demonstrated ability to work independently and make good business decisions.
* Demonstrated process and project ownership orientation with the ability to manage a range of priorities and meet time commitments.
• Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and organizational skills providing the ability to analyze performance metrics, identify trends and anomalies, and recommend needed improvements.
• Strong communication; listening, speaking and writing skills. Solid interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and demonstrated ability to work effectively within Word,
Excel and PowerPoint and other EMR/Case Management systems.
Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or a similar field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Program Management – healthcare and or pharmacy experience highly preferred.
• Up to 5% travel to other pharmacy locations for meetings or other on-site needs
