About the Role and Department
The Pharmacy Manager provides formal people leadership and day-to-day operational oversight for the pharmacy’s Operations Team, including pharmacy technicians and operations pharmacists. This role is responsible for pharmacy operations across the department, including oversight of the clean room.
McLean Hospital is a psychiatric facility with three campuses, supporting a broad patient population across inpatient, residential, and partial residential programs. This is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacy leader to oversee daily operations while supporting pharmacy services within a specialized behavioral health environment.
Summary
Directs daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the department's short- and long-term goals and related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff.
-Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to those professionals under his/her supervision.
-Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services. Schedules and assigns staff.
-Serves as a resource person regarding pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff.
-Participates in on-call responsibility as assigned.
-Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation.
-Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff.
-Participates in the development of policies and procedures.
-Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.
Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required or Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacy required

MA Pharmacist license required
Related Pharmacy management experience 2-3 years required and Related Pharmacy management experience 3-5 years preferred
