Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Growth & Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to aggressively grow the SME deposit portfolio, focusing on low-cost Current and Savings Accounts (CASA) and Fixed Deposits.
Product Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of SME deposit products, from ideation and feature enhancement to pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, and Marketing teams to design sales playbooks, drive product training, and execute localized deposit acquisition drives.
Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing market research to analyze competitor offerings, interest rate trends, and SME client behaviors to ensure the bank remains highly competitive.
Risk & Compliance: Ensure all deposit products, onboarding processes, and sales activities adhere strictly to internal risk frameworks and external regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/CFT, KYC, and local deposit insurance bodies).
Performance Tracking: Monitor financial performance metrics, prepare monthly management reports on deposit volume variances, and implement corrective actions for underperforming segments.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in the banking sector, with a proven track record in product management, SME banking, or retail branch banking.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of deposit products, interest rate dynamics, and the specific financial needs of micro and SME businesses.
Regulatory Acumen: Strong working knowledge of banking regulations, compliance standards, and corporate account opening processes.
