Group Payment Operations - Remittance

Job Purpose

The candidate is responsible for driving the transformation agenda within the Remittance team by leading process optimisation, digital workflow adoption, operational change management and strategic initiatives. The role partners closely with Operations, Technology, Business Units, Risk and Centre of Excellence teams to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, enhance client service delivery and support the future-state operating model of Payment Operations. The incumbent will act as a key advisor to the Section Head in translating strategic priorities into practical and sustainable operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Transformation & Change Delivery

  • Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent transformation initiatives, including process migration, workflow onboarding, system enhancements leveraging AI and digitalisation, and operating model changes.
  • Develop implementation plans, impact assessments, governance structures and progress reporting for management.
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies and benefits realisation across initiatives.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, communication, training and adoption activities.

Process Optimisation & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate operational processes.
  • Redesign end-to-end workflows and operational processes to improve efficiency.
  • Drive initiatives to improve Straight Through Processing (STP), turnaround times, capacity utilisation and operational resilience.
  • Establish and maintain a pipeline of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support reviews relating to operational policies, empowerment matrices, service models, process ownership and organisational changes.

Requirements

Experience

  • Degree in Banking, Business, Finance, Operations Management or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates with substantial relevant experience in payment operations, business transformation, process improvement or operational excellence will also be considered.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and operational change initiatives.
  • Working knowledge in Python, Power Automate, VBA, or other automation technologies will be advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of operational risk and control frameworks.
  • Experience in process improvement, business analysis and change management.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation, digital transformation and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills and proficient in Microsoft applications including SharePoint and Co-Pilot.

This role requires 100% work in office, based at Tampines center 2
