Job Description

We are hiring for this position out of our Vancouver office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

This role oversees daily administrative and settlement operations, ensuring accurate processing, timely month‑end activities, and effective issue resolution. It leads operational and system changes by coordinating cross‑functional partners, delivering communication and training, and supporting smooth adoption. The position drives process improvements, strengthens controls, updates SOPs, and supports audit and reporting needs. Success requires strong payments operations experience, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders.

About the day-to-day:

  • Oversee daily administrative processes, including reconciliation, settlement reviews, exception handling, and issue resolution.
  • Support the team in addressing discrepancies, system breaks, and operational inquiries.
  • Ensure month‑end processes are completed on time and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Review and approve network settlements, operational reporting, and documents requiring administrative oversight.
  • Work directly with partners to resolve funding issues, providing timely communication and escalation where required.
  • Lead and support operational change initiatives impacting administrative processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Conduct change impact assessments and collaborate with internal partners to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Develop and deliver communication, documentation, and training materials to support effective adoption.
  • Identify and address change resistance while reinforcing expectations, timelines, and required behaviors.
  • Act as a connector between Operations, Product, Technology, and other teams to ensure alignment and clarity during transitions.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements to improve workflow, accuracy, and control.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure process changes are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Maintain adherence to internal controls, compliance requirements, and service standards during and after changes.
  • Support audit and stakeholder reporting requirements by ensuring accurate and reliable operational outputs.

About the qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in administrative operations within a financial institution and/or payments environment (e‑transfers, EFTs, wires, card processing, settlements, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through operational or system changes, including training and adoption support.
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, dependencies, and risk controls within payment services.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data to support decision‑making and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey changes clearly and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous enhancement of operational practices.

About the work environment

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $100,000 and $110,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
