About the role
Lead end-to-end parts management for multi-brand
automotive aftermarket operations — covering strategic sourcing, supplier
development, inventory planning, warehouse oversight, and parts cataloging to
ensure high parts availability, cost competitiveness, and operational
excellence.
Procurement & Supplier Development
·
Identify, evaluate
& onboard new multibrand suppliers; maintain Approved Vendor List.
·
Negotiate pricing, lead
times, credit terms, MOQs, and SLAs; conduct quarterly performance reviews.
·
Placing orders and
procuring the parts for production and sales requirements on a daily basis.
·
Regular visit to the
Suppliers.
·
Coordinate POs, inbound
logistics & inventory receipts to meet operational timelines.
Parts Planning & Inventory
·
Planning activities for
the entire parts business and manage MIS for Parts.
·
Forecast demand; set
reorder levels, MOQs & safety stock norms for all part categories.
·
Monitor aging/dead
stock; plan periodic inventory audits & cycle counts; reconcile variances.
·
Track fill rates, stock out events & excess inventory; report to management with action plans.
Cataloging, Pricing & Data
·
Create and maintain
part numbers, descriptions & catalogue structures in SAP/ERP.
·
Maintain Pricing for
all the Parts
·
Build multibrand parts
database with OEM references, cross-refs, super session chains & fitment
data.
·
Establish retail/dealer
pricing; ensure data hygiene across all parts master records.
Qualifications
·
B.E./B. Tech –
Mechanical / Automobile Engineering; MBA in SCM preferred.
·
8–12 years in
automotive parts procurement, supply chain, or aftermarket management.
·
SAP MM/ERP proficiency;
strong MS Excel & MIS reporting skills.
