Job Description

The Manager – Operations Data & Analytics is responsible for owning and governing the full suite of operational data and analytics products and services within the Airport Management Centre (AMC). The role ensures the quality, accuracy, governance, and strategic use of operational data to support airport performance management and decision-making. The Manager leads the development and delivery of reporting, analytics, AI, automation, and data engineering solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Databricks, Python, and Power Automate. The role also manages operational data governance, stakeholder engagement, and team capability development.

The AMC supports:

• Operations Planning
• Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC)
• Operations Data & Analytics

The initial focus is on Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) operations and preparation for the Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC).

Responsibilities

Operational Data Quality Management

• Own and manage the monthly aeronautical billing dataset process.
• Ensure reconciliation and validation across AODB, airline, and ground handler data sources.
• Deliver executive-level operational performance reporting including:
  • OTP (On-Time Performance)
  • Stand utilisation
  • GPU/PCA connectivity
  • Passenger processing
  • Baggage metrics
• Identify new data sources, integrations, AI opportunities, and automation initiatives.
• Design and deliver scalable data solutions using:
  • Power BI
  • SQL
  • Databricks
• Develop and improve operational performance management frameworks and KPI methodologies.
• Solve complex operational and analytical problems using structured decision-making.
• Manage, coach, mentor, and develop team members.

Operations Data & Analytics Governance

• Own and enforce the AMC data governance framework.
• Resolve governance issues across operational data flows and integrations.
• Develop and maintain:
  • Data governance policies
  • Data quality standards
  • Access controls
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Airports policies.
• Implement metadata management, data lineage, version control, and security standards.
• Engage stakeholders to define reporting requirements and analytics products.

Operations Reporting, Analytics & Tools

• Govern end-to-end operational analytics processes from data ingestion to dashboard delivery.
• Manage the full analytics product lifecycle.
• Produce management reports, business cases, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Lead automation and AI-enhanced analytics initiatives.
• Develop automated pipelines and intelligent alerting systems.
• Implement tools for:
  • Operational monitoring
  • Resource optimisation
  • Flight movement analytics

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Support AMC leadership with strategic analysis and planning insights.
• Collaborate with Operations Planning, AOCC, Commercial, IT, and Finance teams.
• Act as the primary interface with IT, system owners, and data engineering teams.
• Represent Operations Data & Analytics in committees and operational forums.
• Advocate for improvements in efficiency, service delivery, and capacity utilisation.

Health, Safety & Other Responsibilities

• Promote Abu Dhabi Airports values and behaviours.
• Support HSE risk assessment reviews and safety initiatives.
• Encourage reporting of incidents and environmental concerns.
• Monitor team compliance with HSE procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support organisational priorities.

Requirements and Skills

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Data Analytics
  • Numerical/Technical disciplines
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Equivalent analytical and management experience may be considered.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in:
  • Data analytics
  • Business intelligence
  • Data engineering
• Minimum 2 years in:
  • Team leadership
  • People management
• Aviation or complex operational environment experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing:
  • Data governance frameworks
  • Large multi-source datasets
  • End-to-end analytics product delivery

Technical Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in:
