Job Description

Fleetway is seeking a Manager, Operations and Governance to lead strategic initiatives that enhance organizational performance and support long-term growth within a dynamic marine engineering consulting environment. Reporting to senior leadership, this role is responsible for delivering cross-functional projects that align with corporate priorities, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen governance frameworks across the organization.

With a strong focus on transformation and continuous improvement, the Manager, Operations and Governance will oversee initiatives spanning business operations, compliance, business development, and organizational development. This includes optimizing internal processes, implementing best practices, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is collaborative, analytical, and comfortable navigating a complex technical environment while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across teams.

  • Lead and implement process improvement initiatives across departments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee business-level reporting functions to support informed, data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage high-impact, cross-functional projects from concept to completion, including business transformation and technology integration.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Ensure all projects align with corporate priorities and organizational performance targets.
  • Prepare and present strategic updates, business cases, and performance insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Foster strong cross-departmental collaboration and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform Fleetway’s business strategy and long-term outlook.
  • Coordinate marketing materials and industry engagement activities, providing insights on trends and competitive positioning.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in operations, project management, strategic initiatives, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
