Work: Monday thru Friday; onsite 5 days per week
Manage the core operational functions for the Snap-on Business Solutions’ Rochester Hills, MI location, with primary responsibility for supply chain and truk inventory, call center operations, facilities management, and safety/compliance. Ensure each area operates efficiently, supports business objectives, and maintains high standards for customer service, operational control, employee safety, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee and Manage Core Operational Functions: Provide leadership, direction, and accountability across the following key areas to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations:
Set and Achieve Operational Metrics: Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators across supply chain, call center, facilities, and safety/compliance functions. Ensure teams are appropriately staffed, trained, managed, and held accountable for meeting service, cost, quality, and compliance objectives.
Drive Operational Planning and Process Improvement: Develop and execute plans that improve workflow, customer responsiveness, supply chain reliability, facility effectiveness, and compliance performance. Identify process gaps, implement corrective actions, and support initiatives that improve productivity, cost control, and operating discipline.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Snap-on Corporate departments, vendors, and business unit leaders to ensure operating priorities are aligned, customer needs are met, and site-level requirements are effectively supported.
Support Continuous Improvement Goals and Initiatives: Lead operational improvement initiatives, including RCI savings targets, cost reductions, service level improvements, process standardization, and Key Business Indicator (KBI) Actively support Snap-on Corporate’s Continuous Improvement efforts.
Develop, Mentor, and Reinforce Accountability: Provide coaching, development, and performance feedback to team members responsible for supply chain, call center, facilities, and safety/compliance activities. Build bench strength, promote collaboration, and reinforce a culture of ownership, safety, compliance, and customer service.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Management Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse operating functions, influence across a matrixed organization, and collaborate effectively with business units, corporate departments, vendors, and site-level teams.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
Safety and Compliance Orientation: Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe working environment, support regulatory and company compliance requirements, manage documentation, and promote accountability for safe and compliant operating practices.
Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible operations leadership experience, ideally including supply chain management, customer support or call center operations, facilities oversight, safety programs, compliance activities, or related operational functions.
Technical and Systems Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems used to manage inventory, purchasing, customer support activity, reporting, facility work orders, and safety/compliance documentation.
Operational Knowledge: Working knowledge of supply chain practices, inventory controls, call center performance management, facility operations, workplace safety, compliance requirements, and operational risk management.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, financial, and operational problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret performance trends, identify root causes, and implement practical improvements across multiple functions.
Initiative and Continuous Improvement Mindset: Demonstrates initiative, urgency, sound judgment, and proactive problem-solving, with the ability to lead corrective actions, improve operating discipline, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
