As an Operations Manager, you’ll oversee daily production operations within the engine assembly and manufacturing division and ensure that safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals are achieved across all production lines. The manager drives operational excellence by leading process improvements, resource planning, and workforce development to meet strategic objectives for aerospace and aviation engine programs.

What you'll do:

  • Direct daily engine and component operations, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management across multiple shifts from surface preparation through final inspection.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Program Management teams to ensure efficient execution and achievement of customer commitments.

  • Lead, coach, and develop inspectors and mechanics while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Support training and development initiatives to strengthen employee technical expertise and career growth.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA, OSHA, EPA, and StandardAero safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee hazardous material handling, waste management, PPE compliance, and partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to proactively assess risks and prevent incidents.

  • Deliver high-quality aircraft finishes that meet customer specifications and StandardAero quality standards.

  • Resolve technical and quality issues with cross-functional teams, driving corrective actions and serving as a customer-facing leader when required to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.

  • Manage departmental budgets, labor efficiency, and material utilization to achieve operational and cost performance targets.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce rework, cycle time, and waste while supporting Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations, including engine assembly, component production, or related aerospace manufacturing activities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to improve manufacturing, quality, or operational performance.
  • Experience communicating with employees, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to support production, quality, and operational objectives.
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving manufacturing, production, quality, or operational issues.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with changing priorities, production schedules, and operational demands.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related field
