Aquatech is seeking a hands-on Manager, OneStream & Finance Transformation to lead the implementation, ongoing management, and enhancement of OneStream and deliver improvements across finance and accounting processes. This role serves as the internal functional lead for OneStream and also supports other finance applications in the portfolio, partnering with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, IT, and implementation partners to support financial consolidation, close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
The manager translates business needs into practical system and process improvements, establishes sustainable support and governance, and drives user adoption. The role combines workstream leadership with hands-on application ownership, emphasizing reliable financial data, stronger controls, and reduced manual effort.
Key Responsibilities
OneStream Implementation & Application Ownership
- Lead the OneStream implementation workstream from requirements and design through data migration, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization; manage deliverables, risks, dependencies, and partner execution.
- Translate Accounting and FP&A requirements into application design, workflows, consolidation and planning processes, reports, and documented acceptance criteria.
- Own ongoing functional administration, including dimensions, hierarchies, metadata, workflows, data-load mappings, validation rules, and user support; coordinate security and access reviews with IT and control owners.
- Partner with technical teams on ERP integrations, business rules, and complex configuration. Validate source-to-OneStream mappings, historical data, opening balances, and reconciliation to approved financial records.
- Coordinate design and testing for consolidation, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and reporting with Corporate Accounting; support budgeting and forecasting with FP&A.
- Manage the enhancement backlog, release testing, documentation, and support escalations to maintain a stable platform through close and planning cycles.
Finance Application Support
- Provide functional support for OneStream and other finance applications, including issue intake and triage, root-cause analysis, data and reporting corrections, and coordination of fixes with IT, vendors, and support partners.
- Support adjacent finance applications and integrations such as close and reconciliation, expense, procurement, billing, and finance reporting tools; maintain configuration knowledge, documentation, and user guidance for the applications owned by this role.
- Serve as a point of escalation during close, planning, and reporting cycles; monitor data loads, interfaces, and scheduled processes, and communicate status and resolution to Finance stakeholders.
- Manage application maintenance activities, including vendor releases and upgrades, regression testing, period and year-end setup, and user access and license reviews.
Finance Transformation & Delivery
- Lead prioritized improvements across close, consolidation, reconciliations, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting; support related ERP initiatives affecting financial data, controls, or reporting.
- Document current and future processes, identify control gaps and manual workarounds, and implement standardized workflows and automation with clear business ownership.
- Align OneStream changes with SAP/ERP, master data, and enterprise reporting initiatives to maintain consistent financial definitions, mappings, and reporting hierarchies.
- Coordinate Finance, Accounting, IT, and external partners on scope, milestones, testing, and issue resolution; escalate decisions and risks to the Director, Financial Systems.
Governance, Adoption & Continuous Improvement
- Establish controlled change, approval, and release practices, including documented testing, segregation of duties, and audit evidence. Accounting policy and financial sign-off remain with the appropriate Finance and Accounting owners.
- Lead user acceptance testing, training, stakeholder communications, and readiness activities; maintain procedures, training materials, and a finance super-user network.
- Drive partner knowledge transfer and a sustainable internal support model. Track improvements in close timelines, data-load reliability, manual reconciliations, reporting quality, and user adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting, FP&A, consulting, or finance transformation, including 3+ years leading systems or process-improvement workstreams.
- Hands-on OneStream experience in implementation, administration, or functional solution delivery, including responsibility for a major implementation workstream or significant enhancement.
- Working knowledge of OneStream dimensions and hierarchies, workflows, data integration and mappings, financial reporting, and application controls.
- Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional designs, process documentation, test scenarios, and practical system solutions.
- Experience with ERP financial data and source-to-target reconciliation; ability to collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, data issues, and application changes.
- Experience supporting finance applications in a production environment, including issue resolution, enhancement delivery, upgrade or release testing, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to manage priorities, lead cross-functional workstreams and external partners, communicate with finance leaders and end users, and operate independently.
