Anticipated Work Schedule: Schedule may vary depending on program specific needs, but this position primarily works Saturday/Sunday shifts.
Duties And Responsibilities
Manager Duties
- Assists the Coordinator or Assistant Coordinator in performing daily duties in a variety of recreation, sports, and ballpark operations.
- Acts as the Manager on Duty. Responsible for opening or closing the Erie Community Center and the Ballpark at Erie.
- Provides exceptional guest service to all guests. Responds to information requests, comments and complaints from the public.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings. May assist with training staff.
- Ensures the safety of guests and program participants by enforcing all rules and policies with staff and guests.
- Remains composed and makes sound judgments in any emergency or non-emergency situation. Responds to emergency situations, administers first aid, CPR, or other medical attention as needed, and completes incident reports.
- Maintains work area, facilities, equipment, and reports. Set up, tear down of program related equipment required. Inspects for safety hazards.
- Maintains frequent communication with staff within the Community Center and Division and reports any issues or concerns with inventory, facility conditions, policies and incidents to supervisory staff as needed.
- Provides direct supervision for officiating staff, youth & adult games and practices, and tournaments conducted by outside organizations.
- Manages sports equipment inventory to include preparing and collecting equipment, monitoring inventory, and making recommendations for new purchases.
Other/Miscellaneous
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and BenefitsMinimum

Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Preferred

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- One-year related customer service, recreation or related experience preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- Ability to obtain CPR, AED and First Aid certifications within three months of hire
