We are looking for a Manager on Duty to be part of our growing Goldfish Swim School Livingston and Springfield locations. We are seeking a self starter who is motivated to grow and succeed!

Very competitive compensation based on experience.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 year experience in coordinating, training, and supervising.
  • Customer service, relationship building, and sales experience experience preferred
  • 1 year aquatics experience preferred - Lifeguarding, coaching, teaching, and/or supervising
  • Strong organization, computer, and training skills
  • The ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple situations at once
  • Able to sustain a high level of energy in the most positive manner

Hourly Rate: $21
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. As a lead, directs and controls the daily operations, ensuring the school is running according to GSS standards.
  2. Assists both departments in managing the day to day operations by: upholding Values & Standards, ensuring policies, procedures, and systems are consistent, organizing & delegating, and provides support through mentoring and training.
  3. Assists both departments in leading by contributing to the following: initiatives, goals, elevation & change, troubleshooting, momentum & traction, cooperation & commitment, and empowering the team.
  4. Demonstrates continued growth in Leadership Development.
  5. Lead the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction during swim lessons.
  6. Provides disciplinary action when necessary and/or direct team members to management.
  7. Attends and assists all In-Services, Workshops, and L10 Meetings.
  8. Proficient in all technology platforms (The WAVE) to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting and administrative functions. The WAVE consists of iCP, Salesforce, and LMS.
  9. Proficient in the Visual Curriculum Book.
  10. Maintains a streamline communication system between the GM and team.
  11. Oversees the opening and closing process.
  12. Able to troubleshoot the pump room for safety.
  13. Participates in teaching, deck supervising, and sales & Service maintain proficiency in all skill sets.
  14. Assists in the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility and trains all current staff on the GSS EAP.
  15. Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.

Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

About Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC

Goldfish Swim School was founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Chris and Jenny McCuiston. Chris and Jenny took a concept that they formulated with nearly two years of research, and cultivated a business that provides results in the learn-to-swim environment that you simply can’t find anywhere else. Their proprietary curriculum and systems were developed after traveling the country in search of the “best practices” to teach babies and young children how to swim.

The first school, in Birmingham, Michigan, opened in 2006, and quickly saw success. Opening its doors with over 500 students at inception, Goldfish currently teaches more than 70,000 students per month across the franchise system.

At the beginning of 2008, it made sense to begin the franchising process. As of early 2017, we are currently in the process of expanding franchise opportunities throughout the country and internationally, with over 80 schools open or in development in more than 23 states and Canada.
