Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the hiring and selection process to ensure staff are fully qualified to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of their assigned roles
  • Ensure proper training on aseptic techniques, hazardous handling, and proper closed system usage for product preparation.
  • Ensure compliance and education to staff on federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other patient privacy laws.
  • Ability to make decisions independently, function with autonomy, make concise decisions in the day-to-day productivity and operations of the Mix team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Analyze product profitability and make recommendations on pricing and purchasing.
  • Work with OO to maintain relationships with McKesson, Henry Schein, and AmerisourceBergen to optimize supply chain efficiency, technology integration, and pricing.
  • Maintain/ Oversee the Nucleus Cabinets for all clinical staff.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with drug and supply representatives.
  • Stay up to date on new products and technologies.
  • Manage inventory levels of drugs and supplies.
  • Oversee the implementation of new drugs into the practice, including infusion pharmacy staff training and assist with protocol development.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to cleanroom and hood certification, and maintenance, and drug storage.
  • Oversee the certification and annual maintenance of ambulatory pumps, ensuring the pumps are updated with the latest drug libraries.
  • Conduct regular Audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline revenue cycle processes and improve financial performance.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with executives, peers, and outside parties as needed to support teamwork, employee engagement, and patient satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in infusion therapy or a related field.
  • Experience in leadership/supervisor role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IV medications, aseptic techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in financial management and vendor negotiations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
