This is a senior leadership role within Digital Services, focused on turning strategy into prioritised, funded and delivered digital initiatives that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, resilience and trust.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead a high-performing digital delivery function across products, platforms and programmes.
  • Translate strategy into prioritised roadmaps aligned to funding, growth and community needs.
  • Partner with executives, elected members and stakeholders to deliver digital initiatives.
  • Drive value from digital investment through governance, benefits realisation and reporting.
  • Support scalable, secure and sustainable digital services for Tauranga’s communities.

This is an opportunity to shape how digital solutions are delivered across Council, helping build modern, resilient and customer-centred services for one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing cities.

Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience in digital delivery frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
  • Strong programme, portfolio, commercial and vendor management capability.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale ERP environments, ideally modern SAP platforms.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
