MANAGER OF COMMERCIAL FINANCE

Commercial Finance Manager will be supporting Finance Director CEE. Key Finance Business Partner for Commercial Team and Revenue Management in evaluation and approval of all commercial projects (pricing, promo strategies, promotional activities, TTA negotiations). Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information: supervising month end closes, forecasts, yearly budgets. Conducting data analysis, planning and strategizing, and advising senior managers. Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets, investigating ways to improve profitability. Managing and developing a team of financial controllers.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Planning – Manage and review short-term business objectives through budgets, quarterly forecasts, and risks & opportunities analysis, supporting overall corporate financial goals with a focus on continuous improvement in forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams to evaluate pricing, promotions, and trade investments, providing financial insight and challenge to drive profitable growth.
  • Manage customer and product profitability analysis, supporting decisions that enhance margin and long-term business performance.
  • Evaluate and monitor trade investments and new product initiatives, ensuring strong ROI and effective post-investment reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting, and forecasting accuracy to increase efficiency and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and local accounting regulations, maintaining integrity and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team, fostering collaboration, capability building, and a high-performance culture.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in Finance or Commercial Finance roles, ideally within FMCG, Retail, or Pharma.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner supporting commercial teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, business-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities with senior stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Romanian accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing or developing teams.
