Role: Manager of Clinical Management IT Services (Service Owner)

Location: Krakow – 3 days/week onsite

Based in our new IT hub at Unity Tower in Krakow, this is an exciting opportunity to join Galderma’s growing IT presence in Poland as an IT Service Owner.

Reporting to the IT R&D Director, you will lead the global IT Clinical domain, supporting Clinical Development and Clinical Operations. This is a strategic, high-impact role at the heart of R&D, responsible for managing and evolving the IT solutions that enable the successful execution of clinical trials worldwide.

You will take end-to-end ownership of Clinical IT services, ensuring they are reliable, compliant, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements within a GxP-regulated environment. Driving the service roadmap and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will deliver operational excellence while continuously improving and optimizing the Clinical IT landscape to support patients, healthcare professionals, and clinical teams globally.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end IT service lifecycle for Clinical systems, from strategy and design through to operations, enhancements, and continuous improvement.

  • Shape and maintain a 3-year Clinical IT service roadmap, covering demand, capacity, and budget planning in close partnership with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations.

  • Ensure reliable, compliant, and high-performing IT service delivery that effectively supports global clinical trial execution.

  • Lead and coordinate a blended delivery model, managing internal teams, nearshore/offshore resources, and external vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Assess and prioritise incoming Clinical demands, ensuring end-to-end delivery aligned with business priorities, timelines, and cost models.

  • Oversee service monitoring, reporting, and control across financials, resources, compliance, and technical performance.

  • Establish and enforce a robust service governance framework, including integrations, data flows, and system usage, in line with Galderma standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as the central IT point of coordination across Architects, Security, Data, and Integration, supporting teams, ensuring alignment and dependency management across the Clinical ecosystem.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement, identifying and leading initiatives around emerging trends such as decentralised trials, data standardisation, and AI/advanced analytics.

  • Own vendor and contract management, including service level definition, performance oversight, and ongoing optimisation.

  • Ensure systems remain validated and compliant with GxP, ICH, FDA, EMA, and other applicable regulations, proactively managing risk.

  • Lead consolidation and simplification initiatives to build a scalable, structured, and predictable Clinical IT service delivery model.

Skills and qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in information management, computer systems, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in IT service delivery and/or application management within IT Clinical Development or Clinical Operations in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong understanding of CTMS, eTMF, EDC, RTSM / IRT, eCOA / ePRO, Clinical Data Management and Analytics platforms

  • Familiarity with leading Clinical platforms (e.g., Veeva Clinical Suite, Medidata, Oracle Health Sciences, IQVIA, ArisGlobal Clinical, etc.).

  • Strong experience working with external vendors and managed service providers within complex delivery models.

  • A solid foundation in IT Service Management, IT Governance, Financial Management, and Vendor Management.

  • Hands-on experience with validated GxP systems and complex system integrations in regulated environments.

  • A proven ability to streamline, consolidate, and optimise processes across systems and teams, driving simplification and operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated experience leading transformation initiatives, modernising service models, and improving the scalability and effectiveness of global IT services.

  • A strong track record of managing complex, multi-vendor, global IT service environments.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage

What we offer in return

  • You will receive a competitive compensation package with bonus structure and extended benefit package.

  • You will be able to work in a hybrid work culture.

  • You will participate in feedback loops, during which a personalized career path will be established.

  • You will be joining a growing company that believes in ownership from day one where everyone is empowered to grow and to take on accountability.
