GEICO is looking to hire a highly motivated Business Applications Manager to lead the activities of the Auto Pricing data team. In this role you will determine instructional needs, develop robust associate-facing applications to enable business analytics, streamline internal processes, and drive business decisions. Additionally, you will work closely with Business Partners, Infrastructure Engineers, DevOps, IT Security, and provide mentoring and training for Business Applications Developers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling activities, monitoring, evaluating, and advising Director on all aspects of the team performance.

  • Overseeing collaboration with partners to develop business requirements for software applications to support business analysis.

  • Implement impact projections, verify coding, debugging, testing, and documented application system changes.

  • Create, execute, and evaluate test plans for application systems, configure servers, design and execute application orchestration.

  • Research and implement software, services, and platforms, lead, assign and track plans for project tasks, create high-level plans and estimates for corporate data projects, oversee the training and review of Business Applications Developers, and assist in developing the annual business plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of overall professional working experience

  • 5+ years of Proven ability of driving results across multiple projects

  • 3+ years of experience in developing associates through providing coaching, feedback, and mentoring

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position, or with project management experience managing critical and technical projects

  • 3+ years of experience in Agile team environment

  • 3+ years of experience of performing analysis

  • Advanced knowledge of Snowflake and/or other Enterprise Data Warehouse databases

  • 3+ years of experience in administration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting at least one analytical platform

  • 3+ years of SQL, SAS, R, Python, Power BI, or C# programming experience is preferred

  • 3+ years of experience with both Linux and Windows Server operating systems is preferred

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud Products (Azure/Google Cloud/AWS) and Services is preferred

  • BA/BS required in a STEM related field with 4-5 years of working experiences and leadership experiences; or a related & relevant master’s degree with relevant 2-3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience

Location: HYBRID - The individual will be required to work onsite out of their designated city (MD, OH, IL).

Annual Salary

$120,950.00 - $212,175.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
