Job Description
The Role
Lead the plant's Operational Excellence strategy through advanced data analysis to identify productivity, profitability, process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement opportunities. Ensure alignment and deployment of regional and global Operational Excellence initiatives that drive key plant performance indicators. Optimize processes and systems through Lean methodologies focused on eliminating non-value-added activities, digitalization, automation, and transformation toward the Factory of the Future.
What You'll Do
- Lead the deployment and sustainability of Operational Excellence disciplines across the plant, including 5S, Kaizen, High Performance Teams (HPT), and Problem Solving methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, and operational performance through data analytics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and drive the implementation of the CMS 2.0 Manufacturing System across all plant levels.
- Ensure the successful deployment of regional and global Operational Excellence strategies and standards.
- Launch and facilitate Operational Excellence training programs based on plant needs.
- Manage and track continuous improvement projects through CI Trac, including Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean, Kaizen, Gemba Coach, and Just Do It (JDI) initiatives.
- Provide Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training and coaching to OEX Engineers and Green Belts.
- Guide OEX Engineers toward certification in DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Mentor and support Green Belts through Six Sigma certification projects.
- Review and monitor DMAIC project progress, ensuring completion of project milestones and expected benefits realization.
- Administer the CI Trac platform, including project portfolios, user management, and role assignments.
- Ensure timely delivery of industrial engineering reports, analyses, workforce studies, and productivity assessments.
- Support internal approval processes related to unionized workforce planning and staffing models.
- Collaborate in strategic plant assessments for technological improvements, automation opportunities, and long-term capacity expansion projects.
- Support plant KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity through project selection and alignment.
- Lead automation projects focused on workforce management, labor optimization, and shift role administration.
- Drive process optimization through advanced data models, Industrial IoT solutions, digital transformation, and smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and data-driven decision making throughout the organization.
What We Look For:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience
- Operational Excellence Master certification and/or advanced Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications.
- Proven experience leading Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement programs in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience in automation projects, data management solutions, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Experience with SCADA, Ignition, Industrial IoT, or related manufacturing digitalization platforms is preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change initiatives.
