We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Manager – Ocean Pricing to spearhead our ocean freight pricing strategy and carrier relationships across the region, partnering closely with the Regional Ocean Freight Leader. This role is pivotal in securing competitive pricing, strengthening carrier partnerships, driving profitable growth, and providing strategic support to our sales and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Carrier Relationship Management: Maintain strong, active relationships with shipping lines and NVOCCs to ensure space and equipment availability.
• Rate Procurement & Negotiation: Negotiate competitive ocean freight rates (Export/Import), surcharges, and local charges, securing long-term contracts and spot rates.
• Manage vendor negotiation across the region, Customs Agents/Transport/Agents and ensure we have competitive rates.
• Quotation Generation: Provide accurate and timely freight quotations (FCL/LCL) for tenders, bids, and day-to-day business requests.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, rate fluctuations, and competitor pricing to update internal teams and adjust pricing strategies.
• Profitability Management: Analyze cost structures and collaborate with sales to optimize margins and improve business growth.
• Partner with local sales teams to support customer communication, resolve operational issues, conduct carrier/customer business reviews, and contribute to business growth initiatives.
• Ensure strict compliance with customer SOPs, internal policies, and AIT operational KPIs, while supporting additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Complie with all AIT policies and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Other Skills We Hope to See:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Sales, or a related field.
• Strong experience in ocean freight pricing, procurement, and carrier negotiations.
• Deep understanding of global shipping markets, trade lanes, and ocean freight operations.
• Proven ability to manage carrier relationships and secure competitive commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work closely with sales, operations, and product teams in a fast-paced logistics environment.
