Welcome to Nuclear Waste Management (EPW). We are a team of eight employees, both blue and white collars, who together support the Swedish organization in the handling of radioactive and nuclear waste. We are looking for someone with expertise in waste management. logistics or radiation protection.

About the role:

As a Manager Nuclear Waste you will be part of our QEHS management team. You will lead a team that support our organization with questions regarding storage, processing, and disposal of factory and process residual materials. You and the team will work with our internal costumers and authorities, specifically the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM).

You will report to the Director QEHS Sweden and you will work onsite at Bränslegatan, Västerås.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Personnel responsibility
  • Ensure Nuclear Safety at Westinghouse Sweden
  • Support with questions regarding handling of Nuclear waste

To succeed in this managerial role, we believe you place a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You are a motivating leader who fosters team engagement and supports individual growth. While the team holds the technical expertise, you maintain and develop collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role with the ability to develop teams and foster a safety culture
  • 1+ years of experience working in nuclear operations, waste management, or radiation protection
  • Knowledge of regulations and authority requirements (e.g., SSM)
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Fluent in Swedish
  • Full professional proficiency in English

We consider a relevant academic degree in fields such as nuclear engineering, environmental engineering, or similar an advantage.
