Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Overall Layout Planning. Knowledge of Layout making on Auto Cad with various options to optimize and facility planning for each line stations and sub assembly stations.
  2. Material movement finalization along with trolleys design approvals. Installation and commissioning of assembly line equipment such sub assembly station, Pressing machines, Main line conveyors, Assembly tooling’s, Testing, Tightening, Sealant dispensing, Riveting. Filtration, Low-cost automations, POKAYOKES, Material handling trolleys, Tightening tool & Cleaning machine.
  3. Provide Design Inputs to Engineering Team for ease of Manufacturing.
  4. Planning for Optimum Utilization of Existing Facility.
  5. Process improvement with model specific add on engines in test beds
  6. Aware of Final assembly lines of Automobiles/Farm machinery along with Engine Lines experience is must.
  7. Knowledge of Basic assembly process like Tightening, floats, sealant application, Alignment, Bearing pressing, Various testing equipment along with conceptualization for any special requirements
  8. Basic knowledge of Industrial engineering like Line balancing, Work content measurement, Takt, NVA identification, VSM, Productivity improvement, Manpower estimation.
  9. Prepare, execute & impart training to manufacturing/QA for new model assembly process.
  10. Establish & monitor assembly process during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot batches.
  11. Audits of processes and system during SOVP & support for APPAP closure
  12. Planning & Execution of New hot testing set up. should have worked in Engine MFG line in either- Farm equipment’s, or Supplier, Special Knowledge of CRDI technology and testing practices is must.
  13. Preparation of RFQ, scope, Technical Finalization of testing Equipment.
  14. Preparation of Budget, RFQ, Comparison of suppliers, Requisition documents preparation, Planning and coordinating of Trials at supplier end and commissioning in House.
  15. Creation of gateway documents. Hands on experience on making of Process sheets, PFA, SOP PFMEA, and digitization of assembly process along with various assembly tools like DC nut runners, preload measurement, Oil seal and bearing pressing etc. Preparation of Process FMEA, PFD, Control Plans & SOP for new models
  16. Project Management for Engine Testing Readiness.
  17. Engine Test bed proving out with co-relation trials & handover to the user.
  18. Support Production Team for Ramp Up.
  19. Green & Brown field experience of facility required
  20. Testing Equipment & Practices: CNG/CRDI system testing and conceptualization of special requirements.

Experience

10 to 15 years

Industry Preferred

Automobile Industry/Tractor Industry

Qualifications

BE/Diploma Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering

General Requirements

  • Should have knowledge of Manufacturing process design Plant layouts preparation, Design & development of assembly processes.
  • Exp in machine procurement & REQ
  • Should have knowledge of Installation and commissioning of assembly, testing Equipment.
  • Sound Knowledge of Engine MFG processes, Designing & Planning
  • Experience in DCP preparation, PFMEA updation & review mechanism, RPN reduction
  • Knowledge of Advanced technologies:
    • BOM handling
    • Hands on experience in SAP,
    • Team centre handling
