Job Description

Purpose

Tiger BioSciences is seeking a hands-on Manager, NetSuite Engineering to partner with the Senior Director, ERP Center of Excellence on large NetSuite projects and provide architecture and configuration expertise for life sciences manufacturing in a regulated environment. The role manages the discovery, design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment of NetSuite cloud solutions, with a focus on WIP and Routing manufacturing, inventory management, and standard cost accounting, and serves as the on-site ERP expert in San Antonio and liaison to headquarters in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, works effectively with entrepreneurial, fast-moving leaders and shifting priorities, and guides the organization from highly flexible, ad hoc ways of working toward standard operating models that are scalable and sustainable as Tiger BioSciences grows.

Responsibilities

Discovery & Solution Design

  • Manage discovery with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, and Operations to document current-state processes, pain points, business goals, and project requirements.
  • Translate business needs into NetSuite architecture and future-state process designs that favor standard functionality and maintainable configurations before customization.
  • Contribute to the design of WIP and Routing solutions covering bills of materials, work centers, operations, work orders, completions, backflush, and work order close.
  • Contribute to inventory and standard costing designs covering lot/serial traceability, inventory status, cost categories, cost rollups, revaluations, and manufacturing variances.
  • Write functional specifications, data models, and integration requirements in collaboration with technical teams, and assess impacts on accounting, reporting, and downstream systems.
  • Contribute to integration designs between NetSuite and third-party systems (e.g., Siemens OpCenter, CRM, EDI, banking, tax, and reporting platforms) in partnership with Enterprise Architecture.
  • Evaluate new NetSuite releases, modules, and SuiteApps, and recommend solutions that align with the enterprise technology roadmap.

Configuration, Build & Testing

  • Configure NetSuite manufacturing, inventory, and financial functionality, including records, fields, forms, workflows, roles, permissions, saved searches, reports, and dashboards, in accordance with approved designs.
  • Support SuiteScript and SuiteFlow development by NetSuite Developers and implementation partners, including participation in design and code reviews and use of the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and sandbox environments.
  • Manage unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including WIP balances, routing operations, inventory movements, standard costs, GL reconciliation, and regression testing of NetSuite’s biannual releases.
  • Ensure validation deliverables (e.g., requirements, risk assessments, validation plans, test scripts and evidence, traceability matrices, and validation summary reports) are completed and approved in partnership with IT Quality.
  • Coordinate data cleansing, mapping, migration, and reconciliation for items, BOMs, routings, inventory, and cost data for new deployments and acquired business units, and obtain business approval before deployment.

Training, Deployment & Adoption

  • Manage cutover, go-live readiness, deployment, hypercare, and transition to support, including business sign-offs and post-deployment validation.
  • Develop training materials, job aids, and work instructions, and deliver role-based training to San Antonio staff and other affected teams.
  • Build a network of super users and coordinate with Conshohocken headquarters to drive adoption, provide first-line support, resolve issues, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Governance, Compliance & Operating Model

  • Guide business leaders from ad hoc, highly flexible ways of working toward standardized processes, operating models, and governance that are scalable and sustainable as the company grows.
  • Standardize manufacturing, inventory, and costing processes with San Antonio and headquarters leaders while accommodating approved site-specific operational requirements.
  • Help establish and maintain NetSuite governance, including request intake and prioritization, release management, change control, design standards, and decision logs.
  • Ensure NetSuite configurations and changes meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records, electronic signatures, audit trails, and access controls, as well as segregation of duties and SOX requirements, as applicable.
  • Maintain controlled requirements, test records, SOPs, and system configuration documentation in accordance with approved change management practices.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections by coordinating system evidence, documentation, and remediation actions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead or co-lead large NetSuite projects involving numerous staff, managerial, and executive stakeholders, managing scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and delivery milestones.
  • Serve as the primary ERP liaison between San Antonio staff and Conshohocken headquarters, aligning priorities, ownership, and decisions.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders who have strong and varied working styles, using sound judgment, patience, and influence to reach alignment on priorities and decisions.
  • Maintain project plans, risk and issue logs, dependencies, and status reporting; communicate trade-offs clearly, escalate blockers, and manage scope changes.
  • Manage the day-to-day work of implementation partners and consultants, including tracking deliverables, budget, and performance against statements of work.
  • Manage NetSuite licensing commitments and promptly notify management of exceptions.
  • Work outside normal business hours as needed to support deployments, period-end close, and critical operational issues.
  • Travel domestically up to 20% to support headquarters coordination, multi-site discovery, training, and deployment activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Comfortable working through ambiguity, incomplete information, and changing priorities while keeping work moving forward.
  • Calm, adaptable, and diplomatic when working with strong and unpredictable personalities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Change leader who builds consensus and introduces structure incrementally, balancing the speed the business needs today with the standards it will need to scale.
  • Sound architectural judgment and the ability to translate complex manufacturing, inventory, and accounting needs into practical NetSuite solutions.
  • Strong project planning, facilitation, and coordination skills across multiple workstreams, departments, and stakeholder levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to quality, accuracy, financial controls, and operational impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present project status, risks, and decisions to executive and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience, including solution architecture, configuration, and at least two full-lifecycle implementations or major module deployments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large projects with numerous staff, managerial, and executive stakeholders from discovery through deployment.
  • Experience delivering and supporting NetSuite in a regulated environment (e.g., medical device, life sciences, pharmaceuticals), including computer system validation (CSV) and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite WIP and Routing manufacturing, including work orders, operations, completions, backflush, and work order close.
  • Strong experience with NetSuite inventory management and standard cost accounting, including lot/serial tracking, cost rollups, revaluations, WIP, and variance analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of NetSuite configuration, roles and permissions, saved searches, and reporting, and a working knowledge of SuiteFlow and SuiteScript/SDF sufficient to direct developers.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes, including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Revenue Recognition.
