This position entails leading a dynamic team of approximately 10-12 skilled individuals of the Modelling and Simulation (M&S) group. The incumbent will guide, coach, and mentor team members to make them future ready. Nurture continuous learning environment, consistently developing and enhancing the team's technical proficiencies to deliver top-notch simulation expertize that aligns with both current and future business requirements. The Modelling and Simulation team will be tightly linked with various key growth programs from ERL and Datacenter business in addition to building and enhancing technology capabilities of M&S team through Accuracy, Speed and autonomous models of various electrical products. The incumbent will partner with local & global stakeholders to drive project success and achieve strategic objectives for the business and M&S team.

A. People Responsibilities:
• Lead team of 10-12 talented individuals and guide, coach and mentor them to become future ready
• Select, hire and retain employees in the team by career guidance and people development
• Develop short term and long-term goals for the team aligned to upskilling areas of digitalization, AI/ML.
B. Stakeholder Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain relationships with local & global stakeholders.
• Meet stakeholder expectations on R / D / E portfolio by assigning right resources on projects thereby enabling them for faster product development. Maintain strong partnership to ensure analysis first deployment, 100% FPY on tests through accurate simulation models.
• Create culture of continuous improvement to bring in value add in terms of cost, quality and schedule.
C. Technology Responsibilities:
• Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the team to provide best in class simulation expertize in line with present and future business needs.
• Work with business stakeholders to secure funding to strengthen technology development in modeling and simulation domain
• Provide leadership to constantly update and mature technologies based on Technology Roadmap set for the team in line with business product roadmap and product strategies.
D. Organizational Responsibilities:
• Constantly strive towards percolating team’s expertise in to new sites / businesses to get more meaningful engagements.
• Participate in organization initiatives / discussion and add value by leading initiatives effectively
• Effective collaboration with broader M&S group to drive consistency in the simulation approaches "
Masters degree in Engineering
Relevant experience: 8+ years with Masters degree / 5+ years with PhD - Extensive experience in Modeling & Simulation, coupled with demonstrated success in talent management, coaching, and capability development. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and create a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
"Should have demonstrated skills in:
- Strong expertise in Physics-Based Modeling & Simulation across component, subsystem, and system levels, with the ability to provide technical leadership in Structural, Thermal, Electromagnetics, Arc Physics, and Manufacturing Process Simulations.
- Strong understanding of Multiphysics Modeling and Co-Simulation methodologies involving structural-electromagnetic, thermo-mechanical, electro-thermal, fluid-structure interaction (FSI), and arc-plasma interactions.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying Digital Engineering workflows integrating CAD, CAE, optimization and simulation automation to accelerate product development and improve engineering productivity.
- Experience in Design Optimization and Design Exploration using tools such as modeFRONTIER, iSight, VOLTA, OptiSLang, enabling multi-objective and multidisciplinary optimization.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML applications in engineering, including surrogate modeling, Reduced Order Models (ROMs)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting NPI/NTI programs, applying simulation-led design methodologies to improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and speed-to-market.
- Sound understanding of material science, failure mechanisms, heat transfer, electromagnetics, plasma physics, manufacturing processes, and product validation methodologies."
