The Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of borrowing base administration, collateral management, Asset-Based Lending (ABL), private credit, structured finance, and secured lending transactions. They will possess experience interpreting finance documentation, overseeing collateral reporting processes, and managing stakeholder relationships across borrowers, lenders, and investment managers.

They will be driven to deliver service excellence through strong leadership, sound judgement, effective communication, and a high level of attention to detail. The individual will demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities, resolve complex issues, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of operational controls and processes

Main Responsibilities:

Borrowing Base Administration

  • Review borrower-submitted collateral reports, borrowing base certificates, receivables agings, inventory reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Validate borrowing base calculations in accordance with eligibility criteria, advance rates, concentration limits, reserves, and other transaction-specific requirements.
  • Prepare borrowing base reports and availability calculations for lender and client distribution.
  • Investigate reporting exceptions, data discrepancies, and eligibility issues.
  • Ensure calculations and reporting deliverables are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Maintain supporting workpapers and audit trails for all calculations and adjustments.

Collateral Administration

  • Perform ongoing administration and monitoring of collateral portfolios across assigned transactions.
  • Review collateral eligibility and identify assets that may no longer qualify under financing agreement requirements.
  • Monitor concentration limits, collateral performance, and portfolio trends.
  • Process collateral additions, removals, substitutions, and updates within servicing systems.
  • Reconcile collateral data against source reports and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of collateral reporting packages for lenders, investment managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Escalate collateral exceptions, valuation concerns, and reporting issues as appropriate.

Documentation Review

  • Review and interpret financing agreements, borrowing base provisions, amendments, waivers, and related transaction documents.
  • Apply legal and contractual requirements to operational reporting procedures.
  • Assist in documenting transaction-specific reporting methodologies and procedures.
  • Escalate documentation ambiguities and questions to senior team members where necessary.

Client ad Lender Servicing

  • Act as a day-to-day contact for borrowers, lenders, investment managers, and service providers.
  • Respond to routine client and lender queries relating to borrowing base calculations, collateral reporting, and transaction activity.
  • Coordinate receipt of reporting packages and supporting documentation from borrowers and third parties.
  • Support the preparation of periodic reporting and management information.

Transaction Administration

  • Assist with priority of payments calculations and transaction cash flow reviews where applicable.
  • Support payment date administration, reporting cycles, and related operational activities.
  • Assist with onboarding new transactions and implementation of reporting procedures.
  • Support lifecycle events including amendments, refinancings, restructurings, and facility renewals.

Risk and Controls

  • Follow established operating procedures and internal control requirements.
  • Identify and escalate reporting exceptions, covenant issues, collateral concerns, and operational risks.
  • Maintain complete documentation and supporting records for audit purposes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested information and workpapers

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in system enhancements, testing activities, and automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of policies, procedures, and controls

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in collateral administration, borrowing base administration, private credit operations, loan administration, fund administration, structured finance, or secured lending.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing borrowing base reports and collateral reporting.
  • Understanding of collateral eligibility, advance rates, concentration limits, reserves, and availability calculations.
  • Ability to interpret financing agreements and related legal documentation.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of securities and other financial instruments Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with Solvas (CDO-Suite) preferred
