Job Description

In this role, you will be at the heart of our voyage performance team, driving performance optimization for our extensive fleet. Your expertise and diplomatic skills will be crucial in aligning the perspectives of various departments, finding the perfect balance between fuel and emissions savings and managing conflicting interests. You will empower our crews with performance insights, enabling them to identify and realize improvement opportunities.

• Monitor key performance indicators, including ETA adherence, using dedicated dashboards
• Engage with crews in performance dialogues, providing guidance on optimal voyage execution
• Analyze operational data, challenge assumptions, and facilitate best-practice exchange for informed decision-making
• Review routing proposals, assess voyage execution, and analyze vessel performance to track bunker consumption savings
• Coordinate across departments, aligning perspectives, identifying practical solutions, and fostering a unified operational understanding
• Benchmark bunker consumption against historical data and ensure systematic capture and reuse of lessons learned
• Provide clear, actionable feedback reports to crews post-voyage, promoting transparency, learning, and continuous improvement
• Ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable vessel operations
• Translate data into tangible operational impact
• Build trust through effective communication, analysis, and collaboration

• Academic background in maritime studies or related field, complemented by maritime industry experience
• Seafaring experience in a senior role (nautical or technical)
• Knowledge of vessel performance and operational efficiency is an advantage
• Comprehensive understanding of onboard operational procedures, associated risks, and consequences
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, German proficiency a plus
• Ability to simplify complex challenges into clear, concise language
