As the Materials Manager you will havetheresponsibility to ensure that our production schedule is efficient and able to capture the needs of internal and external customers. You will workwith business units, procurement, planners, I/T, customerserviceand otherappropriate resourcesto strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillmentIn this role you will lead a team of production schedulers and partner directly with the Centralized Planning and Buying extended teamon strategicand futureproject relatedimprovements and changes.
TheMaterials Manageris responsible forthe strategic direction of the material and warehouse teams and will partner with operations and other key functional partners to ensure that Entegris is able to remain competitive.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Develop, implement, and sustain policies,procedures,and material control systems
Manage a team ofproduction schedulersand othersin regard todaily coaching, performance management, discipline, and succession planning.
Ensure materials are plannedtocompany and customer requirements, whilemaintainingacceptable inventory levels
Develop production schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials in support of manufacturing and engineering
Prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems as well as assist withestablishing,maintaining, and improving theproduction control system
Partner with Global Supply Chain, Supplier Quality and Marketing to ensure supplier and supply chain strategies are robust
Support divisional S&OP process through analysis and recommendationsto create an effective demand management process
Implements a lean approach to materials managementincludingPFEP andcapacity models and processes that enable effective planning and lead time strategies
Actively collaborates and develops relationships with other business stakeholders to drive business process improvements
Proactivelyidentifysolutions in warehousing and scheduling that increase efficiency and performance toward improving delivery, leadtimeand cost
Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions
Collaborate with Manufacturing tooptimizeinventory levelsto ensure premier customer service
Promote and foster a safe work environment
Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience,Knowledge, Skills,Physical Requirements)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management
At leastsevenyearsmaterials management experience, including manufacturing work experience in materials/production planning or supply chain management
Experience supporting global operational footprint
Experience leading a team with an emphasis on development/coaching
APICS certification is desired
MS Officeproficiency, SAP Super User experience is preferred
Lean and Sixsigmatraining or certification
