Reporting Manager Title: Senior Manager of Supply Chain

Manager, Material ControlsPlay an integral role in ensuring the successful delivery of major capital projects by leading the planning, management, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment required for construction execution. As a Manager, Material Controls, you will provide leadership for all material management activities, ensuring materials are properly identified, quantified, procured, received, stored, tracked, and issued to support project schedules and construction productivity.This role operates within an active industrial construction environment. You will work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction, Project Controls, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed. Your ability to proactively manage material flow and inventory directly impacts schedule performance, labor productivity, cost control, and overall project success.Purpose of the roleThe Manager, Material Controls is responsible for leading and coordinating all material management activities associated with major construction projects. You will oversee the processes required to define material requirements, establish inventory controls, monitor material status, and manage the receipt, storage, preservation, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment.Working closely with project leadership and supply chain organizations, you will ensure material control strategies support project schedules, construction priorities, and customer requirements. Through effective planning, team leadership, and operational oversight, you will help minimize material shortages, reduce excess inventory, improve material visibility, and support efficient construction execution.You will be responsible for:Leading all project material control activities to support safe, efficient, and successful project execution.Developing and implementing material control strategies aligned with project schedules, construction plans, and business objectives.Managing material control personnel, warehouse teams, coordinators, and field material specialists.Ensuring all project materials and equipment are properly identified, quantified, requisitioned, tracked, and distributed in accordance with project requirements.Coordinating closely with Procurement, Logistics, Expediting, Engineering, Construction, and Project Controls teams.Establishing material management procedures, inventory controls, and reporting processes.Monitoring material availability and identifying potential shortages, delays, or supply chain risks that could impact project execution.Managing material receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, transfer, and inventory control activities.Ensuring warehouse operations comply with project requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.Supporting construction teams by ensuring timely delivery and availability of materials required for field execution.Reviewing material forecasts, inventory levels, consumption rates, and stocking requirements to optimize material utilization.Monitoring material management performance metrics and implementing improvements to enhance project execution.Supporting material reconciliation, inventory audits, surplus management, and project closeout activities.Identifying material-related risks and developing mitigation plans to support project objectives.Coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and logistics providers to resolve material delivery and inventory issues.Supporting project leadership with material status reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.Driving continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations, inventory management, material tracking systems, and construction readiness.Ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.About us Worley is a global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts headquartered in Australia. What you'll bring to the roleYou bring a strong combination of material management expertise, project execution knowledge, leadership capability, and operational experience gained through supporting complex industrial construction projects.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Typically 10+ years of experience in material controls, supply chain management, warehouse operations, logistics, procurement support, construction operations, or related project services functions.Demonstrated experience supporting EPC, EPCM, industrial, energy, chemicals, resources, infrastructure, manufacturing, or construction projects.Strong understanding of material control processes including receiving, storage, preservation, issuance, inventory management, and reconciliation.Experience managing warehouse operations and material control teams on large construction or industrial projects.Strong understanding of construction material flow, work packaging requirements, and project execution processes.Experience utilizing material management systems, inventory management tools, ERP platforms, and reporting systems.Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate material-related risks that could impact project performance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical operational solutions.Experience managing multiple priorities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting complex project requirements.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and customer representatives.Ability to prepare and present material status reports, forecasts, inventory analyses, and recommendations to management.Proven leadership capabilities with experience directing and developing material control personnel.Strong understanding of warehouse safety, inventory controls, logistics coordination, and operational best practices.Commitment to operational excellence, customer service, continuous improvement, and project success.BenefitsFeel the energy at Worley with access to a range of benefits including: paid-time off, holiday pay (usually 8 per year in the US), and eligibility to participate in the medical, life, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as 401K plan.Apply todayIf you are a material management leader who enjoys solving complex supply chain challenges, supporting construction execution, and leading high-performing teams, we encourage you to apply.
