What You'll Be Doing
As a Marketing & PR Manager for BYD and Denza (sales and aftersales) the role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies and strategic PR plans to promote the products across various channels.
The role will lead marketing campaigns, oversee market research, manage brand positioning, and drive sales through effective marketing initiatives. The role involves collaborating with sales, product, and Dealers and Principal teams to increase brand awareness and maximize market share.
Marketing & Campaign Management
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for BYD and DENZA across Sales and Aftersales
- Plan, execute, and optimize digital and offline campaigns to drive brand awareness and sales conversion
- Oversee content creation and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels
- Manage marketing budgets, media buying, and campaign performance tracking
- Support product launches, dealer promotions, trade shows, and customer events
Public Relations & Media Management
- Develop and execute PR strategies, plans, and campaigns aligned with business objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Secure media coverage across mainstream, lifestyle, trade, and automotive platforms
- Coordinate media engagement, interviews, and press events
Reputation & Crisis Management
- Monitor public sentiment and manage brand reputation across online and offline channels
- Identify risks and manage communication for issues, complaints, or crisis situations
- Develop crisis communication plans, including escalation protocols and key messaging
- Prepare holding statements, Q&As, and reactive communications
- Support media training and crisis simulation exercises for stakeholders
Events & Activations
- Plan and manage press conferences, product launches, and corporate events
- Coordinate media attendance and ensure effective event coverage
- Deliver engaging brand experiences that strengthen customer and stakeholder engagement
Who We're Looking For
- Minimum Degree holder with at least 5 years of experience in marketing, and public relations management preferably in the automotive industry or consumer goods sector.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing, including social media, SEO, SEM, email campaigns, and content marketing.
- Proficient in data analysis and using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems).
- Experience with brand management and strategic positioning.
- High proficiency in project management and multitasking.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to work with creative teams to produce high-quality content and materials to engage and resonate with the public and embody the brand’s values
- Knowledge of the latest market trends, automotive industry developments, and customer behavior.
- Ability to analyse public sentiment, media coverage and effectiveness of PR campaigns for making informed decisions and adjustments.
- Fluent in both written and spoken communication in Chinese and English as this role required to liaise closely with China counterparts
- Class 3 Driving license is a must
