Within Global Marketing, branding plays a critical role in ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact across all customer touchpoints worldwide. As part of our Global Marketing team, you will play a key role in translating business priorities into impactful marketing communications that strengthen our brand, support commercial growth, and engage customers worldwide.

About The Role:

As Marketing & Communication Manager, you will lead the development and execution of marketing communication initiatives that clearly articulate Trouw Nutrition’s value propositions and support business objectives.

You will work closely with species, category, commercial, innovation, and regional teams to translate business needs into a strong communication strategy and build effective communication plans, campaigns, and customer-facing materials. You will be responsible for ensuring that communication activities are aligned with business priorities, customer needs, and brand standards while maintaining a high level of quality and execution excellence.

This role requires a proactive and commercially minded professional who can effectively manage stakeholders, challenge unclear requests, guide teams in ambiguity, and drive projects from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities: 

Marketing Communication Leadership

  • Develop marketing communication strategy and execute plans aligned with agreed business and marketing priorities.
  • Translate business priorities into clear communication frameworks, campaigns, and activation plans.
  • Define communication objectives, messaging approaches, channel strategies, and success measures for key initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and customer experience across communication channels, working closely with branding, digital marketing, and business teams.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility, thought leadership, and customer engagement.
  • Translate complex technical, scientific, and commercial topics into clear and compelling customer-focused communications.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with species, category, commercial, innovation, and regional teams to understand business priorities and translate them into effective communication strategies and plans.
  • Challenge and refine requests to ensure clarity of objectives, target audience, value proposition, and expected outcomes.
  • Facilitate alignment across multiple stakeholders and functions, particularly in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional contributors and manage delivery against agreed priorities, timelines, and quality standards.

People Management

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Marketing & Communications team.

Establish clear priorities, responsibilities, and success measures for team members.

Build effective communication processes, governance structures, and quality standards to improve efficiency and consistency.

Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Performance & continuous improvement

  • Track and evaluate campaign and communication performance using agreed KPIs.
  • Use insights and feedback to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Leverage customer, market, and campaign insights to continuously enhance communication impact and business value

What We’re Looking For:

  • Background in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Min. 8-10 years of experience in marketing communications or a related marketing role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing communication strategy, planning, campaigns and customer-facing content.
  • Experience working in a complex, cross-functional, or matrix organisation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical or scientific information into customer-relevant messaging.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent project management and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business objectives.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience in managing diverse team members.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, sales enablement, and content management platforms is preferred.
