We’re hiring a permanent, full-time Manager, Marketing & Brand based in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Community Investment, you’ll play a key role in enhancing EPCOR’s brand, reputation, and customer engagement through integrated marketing strategies.

As the Manager, Marketing & Brand, you will lead a team of marketing professionals and external partners to deliver strategic campaigns and high-quality creative services that support both corporate and business unit objectives. You will operate in a regulated environment, ensuring marketing strategies align with enterprise priorities while delivering efficient, customer-focused outcomes

What you’d be responsible for

In the role of Manager, Marketing & Brand, you will have the following key accountabilities (but are not limited to these):

  • Provides strategic marketing advice to internal stakeholders, translating business objectives into integrated marketing and brand strategies aligned with corporate and operational priorities.
  • Leads the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment across web, social, and media channels and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Oversees brand management and governance, advancing EPCOR’s brand across customer-facing and internal touchpoints while ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Manages budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources and delivery of results within approved plans.
  • Establishes and improves marketing processes and tools to enhance workflow efficiency, performance measurement, and reporting.
  • Monitors campaign performance and uses data and insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and builds strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders to support aligned priorities and outcomes.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manages external agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective marketing solutions.
  • Coordinates cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment of priorities, workflows, and budgets across stakeholders.

What’s required to be successful

Education and Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or communications.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams and/or external partners an asset
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., utilities, energy, public sector) is considered an asset.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align marketing initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Expertise in brand management, integrated marketing, and campaign delivery.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS365 tools.

Assets

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
  • Experience with creative and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, video tools).
  • Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools.
