
The Manager, Market Performance is responsible for the day-to-day execution of operational workflows that drive value-based care results. The manager influences through others, ensuring that market-specific initiatives—like member outreach, gap closure, and provider scheduling—are executed with precision. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coach a team toward hitting immediate operational milestones.
P&L Analysis: Analyzes market operations execution, member utilization patterns, and Cityblock’s care model to identify areas of opportunity a) to shift member utilization from high-cost low-value interventions to lower-cost preventative measures, and b) to improve operational efficiency.
Operational Execution: Oversees the daily "ground game" of market operations, ensuring that workflows (e.g., hospital discharge follow-ups, HEDIS outreach) are completed on time and accurately.
Data Monitoring: Tracks team performance against weekly and monthly KPIs; identifies bottlenecks in workflows and works with stakeholders to implement immediate tactical fixes.
Stakeholder Coordination: Acts as a bridge between frontline staff and market and central team leadership, ensuring that barriers to care are escalated and resolved quickly and the team adheres to standardized Cityblock operating procedures.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinic management, or a related service-oriented field.
2+ years of experience directly managing people or leading a significant functional workstream.
Familiarity with healthcare metrics (e.g., patient engagement rates, appointment keep rates) and how they contribute to broader market success.
Proven ability to solve tactical, day-to-day operational challenges and improve team efficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
Fosters a culture of psychological safety and humility within the immediate team, encouraging open feedback and collaboration.
Models a "proactive approach" by ensuring all team tasks are completed with high integrity and excellence.
May coach direct reports, helping them build the skills necessary for career progression within the organization.
Successfully leads the team through operational changes or new project rollouts with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Education:
Bachelor’s required or equivalent combination of experience and education

The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:
$78,000.00 - $102,000.00 Annual
