
Position: Manager, Market Intelligence & Strategy

Duties: Work with the Senior Director of Market Intelligence and Strategy to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that promote the company's mission of providing affordable and reliable power generation and storage solutions. Collaborate with businesses to better understand and capture customers' needs for their decarbonization plans and support them by performing project specific Techno-Economic Analysis, Life Cycle Analysis, and specialized GIS customer services for opportunity mapping on esri platform. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, policy, regulations and their impacts on the energy system and emerging technologies; Supervise the Market Intelligence and Strategy teams and conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for growth and development, and meeting customers’ needs. Conduct investment trend analysis, demand and supply analysis, forecasting, and deep dives on specific energy and climate tech topics with support of businesses and incorporate this knowledge into strategic planning and decision-making processes with key partners. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.Represent the company at conferences and events; and participate in relevant associations and working groups.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field plus 5 (five) years of experience in the energy industry, or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: Energy systems including natural gas and renewables, and emerging technologies involving hydrogen and derivatives, clean ammonia, carbon capture and storage and their roles in the energy mix; conducting market research, forecasting, and analysis to identify new opportunities; Policy and Regulatory Analysis - North America Climate policy and regulation analysis and economic impact of financial incentives, carbon pricing and carbon markets (carbon market modelling, carbon pricing systems); Techno-Economic Analysis including levelized cost of Electricity, Hydrogen, Energy, Carbon Capture, Ammonia, Storage); Techno-Economic Analysis (Project Economics - IRR, NPV, Revenue, Profits) for Energy Transition markets (hydrogen, energy, carbon capture, etc.); communicating technical-economical and market insights and information; Life Cycle Analysis using GREET model for Carbon Intensity analysis; strategic planning and implementation – development of a Go to Market strategy based on technical-economic and market information; Geographic Information Systems - Opportunity Mapping Development -ESRI / mapping tools; project specific Techno-Economic Analysis for Energy Transition markets; Economic Outlook Model Development (Supply/Demand, Cost, Prices); and Competitor and Technology Analysis - Company level and technologies, OEMs. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
