Job Description

  • Is responsible for leading and managing the manufacturing processes of thermal cooling systems. They oversee the production, quality control, and optimization of these systems to ensure they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • This role involves both technical expertise in thermal cooling technology and management skills to lead a team and achieve operational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate product transfer activities other business units or organizations.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of lean and manufacturing programs to eliminate production line bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Line balancing, setup reduction, higher yield and space optimization.
  • Work closely with Safety and Health departments to assure the production area, tooling and fixtures are designed ergonomically and safe.
  • Develop cost reduction ideas through process design, acquisition of tooling, capital equipment or documentation improvements
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Supervise engineers, programmers, and technicians, who design or oversee plant machinery, develop projects, and oversee production processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in HVAC system manufacturing, with a solid understanding of the technology.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality control and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is typically required.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, and Microsoft Office suite is often required for managing production data, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Master's degree or additional certifications in production management or quality control.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are important for managing production schedules, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating resources effectively.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent Standing
  • Frequent kneeling / crawling / stooping
  • Working around moving machinery (fork-lifts, etc.).
  • The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • 5% travel to different office or plants locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary.
