Built on a legacy of quality and innovation, we are seeking a Manager - Manufacturing to join our team and support our continued growth.

This role will be involved in the Blow Mold area by managing direct and indirect labor, raw materials, supplies, machines and equipment resources maximizing results in productivity, quality in a timely basis with a minimum cost. Ensure coordination of the department efforts to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) like safety, OEE, labor efficiency, quality, schedule attainment, overtime, scrap, material usage variance and strongly supports the success of new product launches and productivity projects and overall Operations objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to supervisors to achieve all goals in Safety, OEE, Labor Efficiency, Quality, Schedule Attainment, Overtime, Scrap and Material Usage Variance
  • Define and drive standardized work (SOPs) throughout the Blow Molding department.
  • Implement, maintain, and always enforce 5S discipline throughout the plant
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of all Blow Molding departments
  • Coordinate production at both plants in Katy facilities.
  • Develop methods and procedures for manufacturing and production to meet customer demand and minimize cost impact
  • Ensure workforce resources are adequate to meet the organization’s production schedule and efficiency
  • Evaluate production and determine ways to improve efficiency of the production lines while ensuring the achievement of quality standards
  • Ensure that issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Train, develop, mentor and assist subordinates in all the departments that fall within the manufacturing or production process
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
  • Assign duties and coordinate activities of supervisors and/or employees engaged in production
  • Develop and maintain discipline at the supervisory level to maintain and enforce all shop standards and company policies
  • Ensure that raw material is used effectively avoiding negative material usage variance
  • Partner with the New Product Development group in the coordination and success of any new launches in area of responsibility
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of ten (7) years of production experience in Assembly (Blow Mold, Injection Mold helpful) in consumer goods plastics. Five (5) years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with directly managing budgets
  • English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and productivity projects
  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Physical Demands: Able to walk quickly and climb stairs.
  • Able to manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long periods.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Strong decision making and leadership experience and skills including ability to lead and work well with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Able to make presentations to department and key company management
  • Able to work long hours under deadline pressure

Physical Demands & Conditions
(Applicable to Igloo Operators, Technicians, Leaders, and Other Roles in Manufacturing)

Standing & Walking
Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing.

Postural Requirements
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.

Lifting & Material Handling

  • Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts.
  • Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.

Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use
Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision.

Visual Requirements
Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation.

Environmental Conditions

  • Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100–120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter.
  • High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.

Additional Job Considerations
These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours. Technicians may be required to handle heavy molds and materials; use of material handling equipment is provided and encouraged.
