About the Role
Are you looking for a role at an expanding Private Equity and M&A focused Tax practice which offers a platform for professional growth and development whilst working alongside experienced and credentialled Partners and Directors?
BDO has an opportunity for a Managerto join our Corporate M&A Taxteam based in BrisbaneIn this role, you will beakey member of a dedicated and collaborative team that works closely with a range of domestic and international private equity and venture capital firms, as well as corporate clients, supporting their critical interests and transactions in Australia. The role alsoprovidesthe opportunity toassistthose clients more broadly on global matters as part of the wider BDO International Private Equity & Corporate M&A team.
On joining BDO, you can expect to:
Be engagedacross afullspectrumof Private Equity/M&A tax advisory workincludingtax due diligence, domestic and international transaction structuring, transaction documentation reviews, modelling,privatebindingrulingpreparationandfund structuring
Act as akey point of contactfor internal and external stakeholders on transactions, directly liaising with clients, commercial lawyers, investment bankers, investigating accountants and other service providers
Work closely with Partners and other Directors across various BDO tax and Corporate Finance, Commercial Due Diligence and other Deal Advisory services teams also engaged on transactions
Buildenduring relationships with clients to develop your professional practice
Work in an inclusive,supportiveand professional environment as part of a wider National Tax team which has significant growth ambitions
About you
DemonstratedAustralian tax experiencewithin anM&A/Deals Advisory tax practiceat aBig 4 Accounting firm, mid-tier accounting firm or as a Corporate Tax advisor at a Law firm
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Law along with attendant Professional qualifications as a CA,CTAorMasters
A commercial understanding of M&A transactions
Aproventrackrecordof advising on tax due diligence, taxstructuringand fund structuring skills with an interestin developing thesefurther
Strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills
A collaborative and inclusive working style, underpinned by an enquiring mindset that is open to new ways of thinking and confident in constructively challenging the status quo
