Join Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, as Manager Logistics EU (f/m/d), you will supervise the Logistics Department (Import/Export and Admin) and provide innovative solutions to day-to-day issues. You are responsible to schedule, organize and control allocated resources to ensure operational success and provide significant input into employee performance, and team coaching.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervise, assign and direct the work activities of the Logistics Department (Import/Export and Admin).

  • Manage and ensure an efficient order entry and production planning of all business lines under consideration of quality, resources, costs, timelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and fulfil the escalation process with disorders within their responsible departments.

  • Ensure and develop business related communication with internal departments, vendors, carriers and customer

  • Manage and provide support to internal and external customers for all logistics related issues.

  • Responsible to train, coach and develop employees.

  • Hire, coach, and set performance goals.

  • Support and coordinate internal and external audit requests and CAPAs within the department.

  • Ensure provision and creation of data, needed for internal or external billing processes to finance department.

  • Ensure compliance with all company and department policies and procedures for their area of responsibility.

  • Responsible for developing, evaluating and creation of department performance indicator

  • Support logistics management with creation and maintenance of global performance indicator.

  • Monitor, document and improve logistical processes within the department.

  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of standard work instructions/operating procedures and required documentation.

  • Develop and lead department related projects, support and coordinate global logistics projects.

  • Monitor and coordinate global depot processes, ensure efficient warehousing and distribution structure and communication processes.

  • Ensure data transparency and traceability of material and processes for their area of responsibility.

  • Support reasonable operation tasks within Logistics.

  • Report about the status of the Order Entry and Production Planning and deviations from a stated timeline or quality and advise the Manager of corrective measures to be taken.

  • Report all potential risks, operational failures, time constraint problems and extraordinary events that will negatively impact the administrational output to the manager.

  • Stay informed about all matters concerning the order entry and production planning at all times

  • Test the quality of the products and services, which are intended for your area of responsibility and decide on measures to be taken, should the quality differ from the stated specification.

What We Look For

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering or related fields or equivalent working experience

  • 5+ years experience in a supply chain management, or industrial administrational environment experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong professional presence with the ability to lead a diverse team and collaborate with senior leadership and clients.

  • Excellent organizational, administration and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilise leadership skills and tactics in order to achieve strategic goals and objectives.

  • Experience in Master Production Schedule (MPS) Planning and Material Requirement Planning (MRP).

  • Advanced ERP experiencelike JDE, SAP, Navison, Oracle EBS.

  • Advanced knowledge with computer databases, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be dependable, and flexible to work additional hours as needed.

  • Professional approach, high attention to details, deadlines and strong follow through with minimal direction.

  • Experience in a fast-paced multiple facetenvironment; with an ability to work independently, and cross-functionally as needed.

  • Fluent proficiency in English and German

  • Good presentation skills and professional approach.

  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Delivery performance: on-time fulfillment of orders affecting customer satisfaction

  • Shipping hold-ups: track & reduce shipping times

  • Backorders in receiving/returns

  • Inventory: accuracy, value, warehouse utilization

  • On-time training and troubleshooting.
