What will you be doing?

As a Manager Lending at BDO, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing lending operations in the banking sector. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of lending processes by leveraging your expertise in process optimization, AI integration, and sustainability principles. Your role extends beyond traditional banking practices as you work to uncover innovative solutions and drive efficiency in lending operations.

In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate closely with clients to analyze and improve existing lending processes, ensuring they remain competitive and compliant in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. Your keen insights will guide the optimization of applications and systems, empowering clients to make data-driven decisions and deliver exceptional customer experiences throughout the lending journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing and improving existing lending processes Identifying areas for enhancement and implementing strategies to streamline operations.
  • Optimizing applications and systems Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of lending systems to improve overall performance.
  • Uncovering potential for automations and AI Identifying opportunities for automation and leveraging AI to enhance lending processes.
  • Translating business needs to software requirements Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable software development plans.
  • Integrating sustainability (ESG) principles Advising clients on integrating sustainability principles into their lending offerings and processes.

Your role will also involve staying abreast of new legislation, improving customer experience during the lending journey, and facilitating data-driven decision-making through lending-related data analysis. With your expertise, you'll lead projects, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to building the Lending practice within BDO to expand our market presence.

What do you bring to the table?

We're seeking candidates who:

  • Have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in banking, consulting, or a related industry.
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience in lending, both B2C and B2B.
  • Have experience with process optimization, RPA, and AI.
  • Understand the impact of ESG on the lending business and can ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Excel in process analysis, business analysis, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Are fluent in Dutch or French as a native language, with very good proficiency in the other and fluency in English.
  • Have strong leadership, project management, and client engagement skills.
  • Can proactively identify new clients and projects, participate in the sales process, and support less experienced colleagues during projects.
