Manager, Learning Experience Design
Capital One’s Enterprise Learning & Development team is seeking a forward-thinking and dynamic Learning Experience Design Manager to serve as a visionary architect and empowering people leader. The team brings together human-centered design principles and modern instructional design practices to create high-impact, transformative learning experiences for associates across Capital One. In this role, you will lead a team of Learning Experience Designers dedicated to building comprehensive learning ecosystems that support our product management, technical, data and specialized line-of-business teams, ensuring they are equipped to navigate an evolving and complex business landscape.
As an empowering people leader, you will inspire a team of designers to translate complex business requirements into intuitive, engaging and measurable learning content. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of learning initiatives, partnering closely with strategic advisors to bridge line-of-business goals with high-impact instructional design strategy. By blending adult learning theory with exemplary leadership, you will mentor your team in building customer-grade journeys—including eLearnings, instructor-led training (ILT), workbooks and digital platforms—that cultivate essential capabilities. In doing so, you will focus on leading a future-ready design workforce with the infusion of artificial intelligence tools into workflows to maximize efficiency, creativity and delivery at scale.
Beyond shaping individual learning products and programs, you drive impact by intentionally developing the skills of your direct reports and setting the standard for learning design excellence. This role requires the ability to use a product mindset to iterate and improve learning based on data, treating every curriculum as an evolving product driven by user insights and measurable business outcomes.
