The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.
Reporting to the Director, Nova Scotia Health Learning Institute for Health Care Providers, the Manager provides leadership for the strategic direction for the Learning Institute. The Manager contributes to the design, development, and evaluation of all pre and post licensure education programs and continuing professional education offered by the Learning Institute. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that curricular design and educational methodologies for programs are evidenced informed and based on best practices, and that all programming is evaluated to ensure it meets intended outcomes. The Manager is responsible for ensuring required resources are available to develop and deliver responsive, flexible and innovative programming using a variety of methodologies and in a variety of locations throughout the province for the bridging/re-entry, specialty nursing and interprofessional programs offered. The Manager is responsible for engaging in needs assessment and strategic planning for any new educational offerings required to support the effective, efficient and sustainable delivery of services and programs.

Annual Salary: $104,498 - $128,010
