Job Responsibilities

• Actively facilitate the training function by carrying out needs analysis, drafting training plans, designing training programs and enabling the continual improvement of the employee performance
• Identify training and development needs of the group by evaluating the performance appraisals, requests and current business needs
• Maintain and develop succession planning processes
• Coordinate and develop group initiated Leadership/Management development programmes
• Improve employee motivation by initiating and coordinating employee engagement programs while ensuring the retention of competent staff in the company
• Facilitate harmonious relations with external stakeholders of the factory by organizing and coordinating social responsibility activities to improve the company’s image as a good corporate citizen

• Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management

Person’s Profile

• A degree preferably relating to Business Management or Human Resources Management from a recognized University

• A Professional Qualification related to Learning and Development from a recognized institute

• MBA/MSc from a recognized University would be an added advantage

• Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably in a Multinational company

• Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English and Sinhala

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong results orientation

• Ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments

• Sound knowledge of the MS Office suite
