Manager Leadership Development

  • Temporary Full Time (12-month secondment opportunity)
  • Clerk 11/12 package up to $202,166.18 pa. Package includes salary ($154,231.00 to $178,369.00 pa), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Greenacre location + flexible working arrangements

About the role

Are you passionate about developing leaders and shaping organisational capability?

This is an exciting opportunity to manage Fire and Rescue NSW's Leadership Development function and shape how leaders are developed across the organisation.

As Manager Leadership Development, you will lead a small team responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating leadership development strategies, frameworks, programs and initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and support our leaders to perform at their best.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and implementation of leadership development strategies, frameworks and programs across FRNSW.
  • Lead and develop a small team responsible for designing and facilitating workshops, coaching leaders and delivering leadership capability uplift initiatives.
  • Use workforce data, stakeholder insights and contemporary leadership practices to identify current and future capability needs.
  • Partner with senior leaders to design and embed leadership initiatives that improve leadership effectiveness and organisational performance.
  • Evaluate leadership initiatives and use evidence and data to continuously improve outcomes.

About you

  • You have extensive experience designing, implementing and evaluating leadership development strategies, programs and initiatives in a complex environment.
  • You are a confident communicator and facilitator who enjoys facilitating learning and developing leaders at all levels.
  • You build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive change.
  • You enjoy leading and developing others to build a high-performing team.
  • You are passionate about leadership development and committed to delivering evidence-based solutions that make a difference.

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Leadership Development, Adult Education or a related discipline.
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence and/or demonstrated ability to travel in accordance with position requirements.
