The Royal Caribbean Group’s IT- Shipboard Newbuild Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Manager, IT Product Construction reporting to the Senior Manager RM Dev and systems

The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.

PositionSummary:
Designs coordination for IT Construction projects for Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Products, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • The role includes developing and implementing IT strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives.
  • Support the execution team with project documentation, industry research, reporting/analytics, performance monitoring, project logistics, testing, and general coordination of site capability requirements.
  • Work with product teams by ensuring they have a clear understanding of the product objectives and priority, and helping the IT teams translate the product concepts into user stories, epics and other appropriate design deliverables for execution (e.g., project briefs, scope/requirement documents, guest prioritized needs, infrastructure development etc.).
  • Partner with key stakeholders to build and manage scope expectations. Champion the guest experience with IT product owners for destination projects, advocating on the guest's behalf, and working diligently with execution and product development teams to create a first-class experience for guests.
  • Effectively communicate with partners of various levels across the broader organization through various mediums (i.e.. presentations, email, formal/informal meetings).
  • EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:

    Supports the intake process of projects through the governance process, inclusive of IT projects and broader Royal Caribbean Gorup initiatives.
  • Manage capability requirements for each site’s business model and integration requirements with product owners for architecture and build out.
  • Manage design and integration activities between IT and RCG’s internal and external partners.
  • Create a collaborative partnership among portfolio stakeholders that enables resource demand planning, budget management, initiative strategic alignment, change management, and project pipeline planning decisions.
  • Partners with other business departments (Marine, Logistics, Newbuild, Engineering, Architecture) to engage and onboard needed resources in order to implement scope.
  • Manages project and capability requirements, artifacts, decisions, communications, metrics, and reporting.
  • Support Subject Matter Leads, Program and Project Managers and Business/Project Analysts within portfolio with delivery and reviews to confirm adherence to Delivery Team methodology.
  • Support product integration within RCG sites and asset with insight contributions from within, and across, portfolio activities.
  • Works closely with Product teams, Site Architects and Construction partners to develop and document delivery goals and execution strategies related to the project scope.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience working in the amusement park industry.
  • Experience with technical, user, and business issues in a fast-paced hospitality organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate/influence at an executive level.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Skills and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of product management preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
  • Experience with technical, user, and business issues in a fast-paced online organization.
  • Experience working with project execution teams creating key requirement documentations and project artifacts.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate and influence at an executive level.
  • Possesses analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project deliverables.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve results through others, plus the ability to build strong and balanced relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working with international teams.
  • Effectively provide overall leadership across multiple teams, while working collaboratively to delivery with quality on time.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in IT project management.
  • Experience in executing heavy IT infrastructure projects in a construction environment.

Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
