SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline’s IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modeling, business intelligence, and business continuity. The focus is on transforming business and operational processes, expanding digital passenger reach, and improving customer experience through solutions design, development, and integrations while enhancing airline IT domain knowledge. Award-winning SriLankan IT team is seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Manager IT Business Systems (Flight Operations, Cabin Service , Engineering & Corporate Safety).

The individual is responsible for evaluating and redesign the plans, policies, processes and practices of the Airline Business units by leveraging advanced Information Technology solutions, driving digitalization and process automation initiatives that significantly improve productivity, efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Review business plans and objectives with business managers to update and agree on 03 year plan for major systems and process changes by preparing IT infrastructure and Business Systems investments.

  • Conduct regular reviews of services provided from operational IT systems and initiate progress enhancement programs and projects. Closely manage service delivery and transformative outcomes in order to achieve expectations of the business area.

  • Provide technical consultancy services to the assigned business area in analyzing areas of potential benefits through process and system improvement. Assist business managers in preparing the business case for any investments recommended for consultancy services or introducing new systems and infrastructure.

  • Ensure business objectives, functional requirements, data models and technical architecture are documented for system solutions and assist business managers in formulating a plan for acquiring packaged solutions or in sponsoring custom - made software development.

  • Project and manage the delivery of solutions, using analytical and software engineering resources allocated to the project, achieve the targets of quality, cost, benefits and timescales. Set deliverables and targets for direct reportees and supervise their work and conduct performance reviews at appropriate times.

  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and internal specialist groups, agreeing with the required role, plan, deliverables, the cost and timescales for the services to be provided.

  • Preparing departmental budget and regular monitoring of overall expenses to ensure that variances are kept to a minimum.

  • Be responsible for smooth and secure functioning of IT Business Systems through constant monitoring, system reviews on application controls, functional audits and business systems enhancements to ensure IT business system assets are adequately protected for confidentiality, integrity and availability.


Requirements


Master's Degree or relevant Membership from a Professional Body and Bachelor's Degree with 06 years post qualifying overall work experience with 03 years Managerial experience and 03 years in Executive level.

OR

Full professional qualification with 06 years overall experience with 03 years at Managerial level and 03 years at Executive level in a relevant discipline and relevant Membership from a Professional Body.

Be a Sri Lankan citizen.

The upper age limit should be 45 years as of 18th June 2026, which is the closing date.

Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
