Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and business-focused Manager IT Business Engagement – Manufacturing to serve as a strategic partner between Manufacturing and Information Technology. In this role, you will lead the delivery of innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, support digital transformation, and create measurable business value across our global manufacturing operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with strong manufacturing systems expertise, project management experience, and a passion for driving continuous improvement through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary IT partner for Manufacturing, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a team of IT professionals supporting Manufacturing applications and solutions.
  • Manage the portfolio of Manufacturing IT projects, from business case development through implementation and transition to support.
  • Collaborate with global business stakeholders to identify priorities, define requirements, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, timelines, quality standards, and governance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and consultants.
  • Monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and provide regular updates to leadership teams.
  • Promote best practices in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  • Ensure compliance with global IT standards, cybersecurity policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Support system testing, validation, documentation, and quality assurance activities.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years supporting manufacturing environments.
  • Experience within the discrete manufacturing industry, preferably automotive.
  • Previous leadership experience or a proven track record managing IT teams and projects in an international environment.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Digital Factory processes.
  • Understanding of automotive manufacturing operations and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Communication & Leadership

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making, negotiate effectively, and build strong relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and fostering professional development.
