The IS Learning Manager leads the firmwide technology training strategy, delivery, application support and innovation. This role oversees a team of trainers in New York and collaborates with IS Support teams across regional offices. This position is responsible for developing learning programs across core legal technology systems, attorney-facing legal technology applications and systems, SCORM-compliant LMS platforms, and rapid content generation using Generative AI.

Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:

Leadership & Management

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of IS Trainers in the New York office.
  • Coordinate with IS Support teams across regional offices to ensure consistent training delivery using standardized materials.

Strategic Learning Partnership

  • Engage with the IS Management team, Practice Systems, attorneys, practice group leaders, and thought leaders to identify emerging learning needs.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop role or practice-specific learning initiatives.
  • Translate attorney feedback into actionable training initiatives.
  • Partner with Helpdesk to identify and address learning gaps.

Training Development & Delivery

  • Deliver one-on-one and small-group learning sessions for attorneys and staff.
  • Conduct on-floor or virtual follow-up sessions after major system rollouts.
  • Participate in testing, pilots, and rollout planning.
  • Develop and maintain a firmwide training roadmap aligned with IS strategy and practice needs.
  • Lead training design for system implementations and upgrades.
  • Develop training content and user-facing documentation for all legal technology applications and systems.
  • Ensure trainers develop subject matter expertise and ability to provide training and support for all legal technology applications and systems.

Innovation, Generative AI & Emerging Technology

  • Leverage Generative AI to help create rapid-deployment video content and training materials.
  • Develop AI-assisted communications to market new learning programs.
  • Ensure trainers develop proficiency using all firm-approved Generative AI applications.
  • Pilot new instructional technologies.

Learning Management Systems & Compliance

  • Administer SCORM-compliant LMS platforms.
  • Ensure content publishing, tracking, analytics, and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance records and audit-ready documentation.

Any additional responsibilities as required by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years in IS training, preferably legal.
  • 3+ years managing training staff.
  • Experience with SCORM-compliant LMS.
  • Experience producing short-form video content.
  • Experience using Generative AI for instructional content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PPT & Excel)
  • Experience with document Management Systems such as iManage, timekeeping systems including Intapp Time, Zoom communication platform tools (Meetings, Phone, Chat, etc.), and iPhone/mobile productivity tools.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Estimated salary range is $165,000 - $185,000. This position is bonus eligible. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
