About the Role

• This position provides investment services support to the company which invests in ETF, fixed income, investment funds and listed equities.
• He/she ensures daily compliance of regulatory requirements related to the expanded business scopes of MPF and ORSO schemes, SFC regulated funds (including Approved Pool Investment Funds);
• Enforce quality day-to-day operation functions in trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliation and corporate actions
• Support the setup of infrastructure for new business initiatives and on-going daily operations monitoring and review.
• Good initiative tempered with identifying when escalation is required
• To be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure and independently

Roles and Responsibilities:

Daily (~80% of time)

Enforce quality day-to-day operation functions in trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliation and corporate actions.

  • Supervise sub-ordinate to ensure timeliness and accuracy of trade lifecycle operations and reporting
  • Oversight the outsourcing agents in trade processing and settlement
  • Monitor the performance of outsourcing vendors
  • Monitor any exception or error of counterparties/service vendor and ensure the resolution in a timely manner
  • Follow the procedures documented in OM and any applicable policies and procedures

Monthly/Quarterly/Ad hoc (~20% of time)

Support the setup of infrastructure for new business initiatives and on-going daily operations monitoring and review.

  • Handle ad hoc projects (e.g. setup the infrastructure for advisory business.)
  • Support other AIMHK departments in Aladdin queries by coordinating with vendors and other internal stakeholders (e.g. Group Office)
  • Backup the team lead of Fund Administration Team to support the daily operations related to Fund Administration.
  • Escalate any exception items to relevant Department Heads in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration or relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in investment operation areas of financial institutions.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Familiar with the operations of back-office system (e.g. Aladdin / Bloomberg AIM / Citidirect / HSBCNet / Eagle) is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of operational processes.
  • Displays confidence and passion.
  • Challenges themselves and others constructively.
  • Good attention to details with presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and workloads.
  • Ability to work in a small team, self-motivated, proactive and risk-aware
  • Good command of both written and oral English.
