Job Description

The role is expected to manage investigations relating to fraud and financial misconduct, bribery and corruption, breaches of law or regulation, sanctions and trade-related concerns, conflicts of interest, human rights concerns, data protection and confidentiality breaches, abuse or serious ethical misconduct, retaliation against whistleblowers, misuse of company assets, and matters involving senior management where assigned.

Core Responsibilities

Investigation Intake, Triage and Planning

  • Support the receipt, review, and preliminary assessment of reported concerns and help determine whether matters require formal investigation, management handling, referral to Human Capital, or escalation.

  • Assess case severity and investigation requirements based on legal, regulatory, financial, operational, reputational, and whistleblower protection considerations.

  • Develop investigation plans that define scope, objectives, lines of inquiry, resources, timelines, and reporting requirements.

Case Management and Investigation Execution

  • Lead or coordinate investigations in line with approved methodology, maintaining confidentiality, independence, objectivity, and procedural fairness.

  • Gather and analyze documentary, electronic, and testimonial evidence; conduct interviews with whistleblowers, witnesses, and subjects where appropriate; and maintain complete and accurate case records.

  • Maintain evidence integrity and chain of custody for physical and digital evidence and escalate any concerns regarding tampering, loss of custody, or data handling issues.

  • Coordinate with Legal, Human Capital, Internal Audit, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, or external specialists where subject-matter expertise or independence is required.

Reporting, Remediation and Governance

  • Prepare clear, well-supported investigation reports, closure reports, and remediation actions that set out facts, findings, root causes, and recommended next steps.

  • Track open cases, investigation milestones, outcomes, and corrective actions, and provide updates to the VP - Compliance Program Management and other governance forums as required.

  • Support thematic analysis, lessons learned, and improvements to controls, policies, training, and awareness based on investigation outcomes.

People and Process Leadership

  • Manage and coach investigators where applicable, promote consistent investigation standards, and contribute to capability building across the compliance investigations function.

  • Help maintain investigation templates, protocols, investigator readiness, and continuous improvement of the investigations process.

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, Finance, Accounting, Criminology, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications for e.g. CFE in investigations, fraud, audit, compliance, legal practice, or forensics are preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills. Arabic is an added advantage.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in compliance, investigations, internal audit, forensic reviews, ethics, or related control functions, including hands-on investigation management.

Nature of Experience:

  • Managing internal investigations, whistleblowing cases, or serious misconduct reviews

  • Fraud, corruption, conflict of interest, ethics, regulatory, or employee misconduct investigations

  • Investigation planning, interviewing, evidence handling, case documentation, and report writing

  • Working with Legal, Human Capital, Internal Audit, Information Security, and external advisors on sensitive matters

  • Root cause analysis, remediation follow-up, and control improvement

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound professional judgment.
